Vintage Botanical Poppy Flower 8x10" Print
This is a high-quality reproduction 8x10" print of a poppy plant, originally from an educational plate from “Kohler’s Medicinal Plants”, a German medicinal guide published by Franz Köhler in the 1880s with illustrations by Walther Otto Müller and Carl Friedrich Schmidt. Printed on sustainably produced 100% cotton fiber archival paper. Each print is packaged in a sealed clear sleeve with matte backing and includes an info card with the history of the art. It is unframed.
We've stocked this brand since our inception because the botanical representations are such a natural fit, and because it is a US-based, woman-owned company. Kate Faulk was always fascinated by the birds, insects, and strange little things she found growing up on a farm in the south. Now, as a vintage book lover, she scouts antique stores, estate sales, and markets to find the most unique scientific illustrations from the 1600s to the 1920s.
