Mandarin Peel Sweet Preserve

This traditional mandarin peel preserve is made with a lot of love and patience! Spoon sweets (sweet preserves) are offered as a gesture of hospitality in Greece, accompanied by a glass of cold water. They are made by gently boiling any kind of fruit that is in season over several hours or even days! Wonderful over Greek yogurt, ice cream, or as an addition to a charcuterie plate.

Why we stock this brand: Hellenic Farms founder, Vivianna, comes from a lineage of Greek foodies: her paternal grandfather owned the only bodega in the village of Armolia, Xios where surrounding villagers would come to shop, and her maternal grandparents were and still are Mastic farmers, a unique natural resin that only grows on the island of Xios. Vivianna wanted to share the quality Greek products with US friends and family, and so Hellenic Foods was born.
